In order to ensure continued
compliance with current legislation (e.g. COSHH, CAW) all installations
of local exhaust ventilation should be subject to routine periodic
examination and test by a competent person
All examination and tests undertaken by ADMAS Limited are carried out by personnel holding the British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS) "P601 - Initial Appraisal and Thorough Examination and Testing of Local Exhaust Ventilation Systems" certification. This qualification is the only recognised certification available in the UK which ensures the competency of individuals to undertake such examination and testing.
The through examination and test of local exhaust ventilation systems when carried out by ADMAS Limited follow the procedures outlined in the Health & Safety
Executive's publications HS(G)37 : "an introduction to local
exhaust ventilation" and HS(G)54 : "the maintenance, examination
and testing of local exhaust ventilation".
