ADMAS Limited is able to offer Asbestos Awareness Training for Customers either in our own training suite or (where suitable) at the Customer’s own premises.
The training is intended for all personnel who may encounter asbestos during the course of their work. This group would include those such as maintenance personnel, electricians, cable layers, flooring contractors, window fitters etc.
Certificates are provided to all training candidates. |

The half day course will normally be run for between 6 and 12 people.
The training is suitable for people from all industries and covers the following topics:-
Part 1
- Asbestos what, why and where?
- History of Asbestos
- Asbestos related diseases
- Where Asbestos is used
- Types of Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM’s)
- Health hazards – respiratory system and the effects of exposure
- Those at risk
Part 2
- Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006 – The Duty to Manage
- Current Legislation / Obligations
- DVD’s of the risks and control of asbestos
Asbestos samples from our collection can be seen safely with the use of one of our stereo microscopes from our UKAS accredited laboratory (when the training is based in the ADMAS Ltd. training suite).
We also have a protected museum display of ACM’s that show how the substance was used in products around the home and in non-domestic properties.
Our training centre is close to the M62 motorway corridor with ample parking facilities on site.
Refreshments are provided during the course of the training.
